From what I understand the Tonalin is the one that all of the studies were done on, like when you research CLA through the internet. So, Tonalin is the only one that has been proven to work as far as I know. I got mine at Wal Mart and it was actually the Rexall brand in the vitamin section and it was 1000 mg and said CLA big on the bottle, but above that it had Tonalin smaller. You may have to look for it again. As far as I know, everyone here uses the Tonalin. I recently ordered from ********** when I was out and it was $24 total for 90 pills and it's 1285 mg pills. I've heard good things about them. But it is Tonalin too.

Yep, your Rexall CLA should say Tonalin on the left side, about the middle--mine does.
I assumed Tonalin was a processing method or something, not the brand name. Natrol also makes Tonalin CLA.

The reason you go with Tonalin is because they use safflower oil, while most still use sunflower oil, which is cheaper yet not as healthy as the safflower.

Well actually...Tonalin is actually a specific brand of CLA, or as their website says: "TONALIN ® CLA is an exclusively licensed product of Cognis Corporation."

Kind of like how Splenda owns the exclusive rights to the sweetener Sucralose...they sell it to the manufacturers who use it as an ingredient in their products. Same thing.

    Just FYI...

CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is derived from safflower oil. Human studies indicate that CLA may play a role in reducing body fat and increasing muscle retention.
