Cocktails, smoothies, diets, fancy hors d’ oeuvres…celebrities are doing all they can to surround themselves with the hottest and most nutritious food on the planet - the Acai Berry. Harvested in the Amazon jungles and rainforests of Brazil, the Acai Berry is a small, purple berry that packs a powerful antioxidant punch. It’s not just the natural goodness packed inside the acai that has attracted stars like Owen Wilson, Denise Richards and surfing legend Kelly Slater; it’s the wild raspberry and chocolate flavour that drives these stars wild.
I love to read celebrity gossip magazines. Us Weekly, People, and the British publication OK are three of my favorites. And one thing I have noticed lately is that more and more celebrities and Hollywood socialites are getting in on the Acai action.
The Acai Berry has reached celebrity status among the celebrities who follow it.
Bradd Pitt was introduced to the Acai Berry Diet by his personal celebrity trainer in order to get down to 4% body fat for his recently released movie “Burn After Reading”, where he stars opposite George Clooney. And if you have seen the movie then you definitely know that the Acai Berry Diet was able to pull its own weight. In addition to training, Pitt was able to reach the 4% body fat goal for the movie in a record 2 months!!

Acai Celebrity Smoothies
“Acai kicks butt”. - Denise Richards
Denise Richards has been spotted many times enjoying one of her favorite drinks, the acai berry smoothie, from Jamba Juice. This particular smoothie is also regularly enjoyed by Denise’s fellow celebrities Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson and Jennifer husdson.
“I love acai! I ate acai the first time I went to Brazil. I had never heard of it and I was freaking out on the stuff. Acai is one of my favorite things to eat in the world. I would eat Acai for breakfast everyday, and for snacks all day. Very stoked to finally see Acai in the United States.”
