Have you notice after months of continuous weight loss and just when u think everything is feeling good about yourself , You STOP losing weight?

No matter how hard you try, you just do not seem to lose any more weight. The reason is because after awhile our body gets used to burning fewer calories so it can protect its reserves as cautiously as possibile. As a result, our weight start to remain constant. This is also known as Plateau. A plateau can occur at any time. However, normally it occur half a year on a weight loss program that they come to a standstill, some may happen 1-2 months depending the type of weight loss program.


How to Break Thru a Plateau –

  • Change you diet routine, if you are exercising, try other form of exercise.

  • Change your meal frequency, if you are eating 4 meals , break it into 5 meals.

  • Do not cheat, you are only cheating yourself.

  • Cut back on carbs/eat more protein

  • Take note of the food label which say "low in fat" "Low in sugar" or "safe". Some of them are not that "safe"

  • Do not take processed foods such as diet

  • Include healthy oils – Rather than processed salad dressings, choose healthy oils found in nuts, olive oil, and avocados.

  • It is start working out that muscle and adjust your exercise routine – A treadmill routine of 30 minutes at 3 miles per hour may have been effective , maybe it is time to do 3 miles in 25 minutes. Start challenge yourself moderately.

Most imporant is do not give up. Most dieters give up and settle for just losing a small percentage of the weight they need to lose. If you keep doing all you need to do to lose weight, it will eventually come off.
